Hello parents and students,

Next month the curling club has organized the opportunity for a few classes to learn how to curl.  Our class will attend threee sessions Wednesday afternoons ( Nov. 3, Nov. 10, & Nov. 17).

I have not sent out any notices as I would like to make sure we have enough parent volunteers, preferably with Curling experience.  If you would like the opportunity to join us please send me an email.

Hello Students and Parents,

I would just like to point out the number of students who are handing in assignments online.  I am impressed with the ease this shift in thought has happened.  I would just like to point out that the extension that the work is saved under, or the application used does have an effect on whether I can open it. Here are a few suggestions to guarantee success.

1- write in microsoft word.

2- save as a .doc or .docx  format  (you can choose this at the time of saving)

3. save as usual on your desktop and then manually change the extension to .txt  (all computers can read this format)

This Friday our students will be participating in the annual Terry Fox Run.  We are asking, like Terry did, that every student donate one dollar.

Parents are welcome to volunteer and even run with us this day.

What a great week with Marian Rose.  Thursday night with the Welcome back to School night and his afternoon when all students got to strut their stuff in front of their peers.  Thank you for all your positive energy and support!

On another note of kicking up something…Dirt!

Next week we will begin our DPA first thing in the moring so come to school prepared.  Come Thursday we will be in top shape for our annual Terry Fox Run.  A small donation is asked.  Hope to see many of you there.

Hello everyone,

I would like to invite you all to Mamquam’s back to school night this Thursday evening.  Beginning at 6:15pm in room 14, where I will go over this year’s plan, followed by an official welcome from MrKent and Ms Saenger.  This week your child has been practicing their dancing moves with Marian Rose and we welcome you all to stay and “Promenade” and “Dos si Dos” with us and refuel with the pot luck munchies you have all graciously provided.
